The Walk

A walk alone with the dog,
a chance to think.

Then I see you, and my heart quickens.
I continue to walk, a block or so.

I think of you hair, your smell.
Of your sound, your feel, your energy.

A block closer now, It's still you.
My heart is racing, my mind is reeling.

Across the street!
Come on light change

I cross, and turn,
It's not you.

My heart sinks. My mind still reels.
My feeling flowing like rain from my eyes.

As I turn back home, I smile.
Knowing I am helplessly lost in you power.

Helplessly lost, but totally happy.
Wrapped in your spirit, where ever I am.
